Freedom Golf Program - Ireland

Changing lives, one veteran at a time

Freedom Golf Program – Ireland

This program gives seriously injured veterans not only an opportunity to experience golf on some of the world’s most inspiring courses, but to reach inside themselves to discover their personal potential through golf clinics, positive interaction and ambassadorship with a business professional during the course of the trip. The trip offers veterans a wide-ranging, holistic, therapeutic approach with assessments and outcome measurements on three levels: • Intrapersonal Skills (such as emotional control, relaxation, goal-setting, positive self-talk, focus and concentration) • Interpersonal Skills (such as decision-making, socialization, communication, problem-solving and leadership) • Call-to-Action Skills (such as public speaking, community involvement, networking and role-modeling) All injured veterans will be selected through Warriors For Freedom, Folds of Honor Foundation, Salute Military Golf Association, Fort Belvoir Hospital and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Becoming an Ambassador/Donor means much more than making a donation. You are an integral part of a program to promote holistic wellness with seriously injured U.S. veterans. You are donating your time, your personality and your experience to connect, interact, motivate and guide these most deserving veterans. Over the course of the week, you will meet many wounded veterans and hear their stories and how they have adapted to a new life. Bonds will be made and new relationships will blossom long after the trip is over. Sometimes the only way to get up is by a helping hand. By coming on this trip, you are offering that helping hand. As an Ambassador/Donor, you can change their lives, and they will change yours.
